Amen to what roksancastle said. On another note, yeah, their vocals ain't what Morrison's were when he was 26, but for 60 yr. olds and still playing this kind of music, they do pretty good. You really can't make judgement on em until you've heard their stuff from 68 - 69 while in their prime. Outsideinside is a good example. They weren't trying to be Hendrix, Morrison, or Cream. They pioneered their own unique style & sound & it was powerful.

The vocal work is pretty bad, but these guys, depending on who's point of view you agree with, were the founder's of the metal movement. I don't think they were metal in the truest sense, but I think their style contributed heavily to the beginning of that particular genre of music. (Really prefer Morrison's vocals on this tune).

I would love it BC went on tour with a band like The Stooges, or maybe Motorhead!

He interrupts the song to say, "You all got to take care of each other....You guys have to take care of one another, 'cus you're all you've got. You ain't got nothin' else -- I want to remind you of that." You White guys and gals certainly haven't got a government that cares about you. White Nationalism's time is now. No war in Iraq! No billion $ bailout for banks!

I'm not going to pretend I'm a fan of Blue Cheer, in fact I think they've always been pretty bad. But they can be a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine from time to time, and I have to give them credit for still doing their thing just like they did back in the day. Still loud and still proud!

That's cool. I like Sabbath and Metallica, LOVE Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Pink Floyd. One band you seriously need to check out is Sir Lord Baltimore, an early metal band from 1970-71 that released two albums on Mercury then disbanded. Blew my mind when I first heard 'em. They've got some of their songs here on You Tube, check out "Kingdom Come" or "Hard Rain Fallin." And you could check out "Sun Cycle" by BC if you want, you MIGHT like that one. You just might.

Ok cholula, to each their own. But please don't act like because YOU have never heard of these guys, that automatically makes them suck. I mean com'on! I don't understand how as an obvious metal fan you're not seeing SOMETHING positive in these guys! But whatever dude.... |
