EXACTLY! Flamenco is classy just traditionally or with orchestra but this is a pathetic excuse to get close to jazz!

I dunno dude, I love this track and I come from the "pureta" side of things. I mean, you can't always listen 2 the same style and arrangement in every single CD otherwise you end up hollywoodifying music, in the sense that u watch a hwood movie and see the same car chase, same moral speech, same punches, same fight, same ole conflict bla bla bla. I mean, I think it's good we have new sounds which in any case are distinctly flamenco, as the trumpet is a quintessentially spanish instrument too.

Well, fair enough..........I'm just not sure I've heard a jazz/flamenco fusion that's really worked! But I'll keep listening :)!

parently your not a musician or a very trained aficionado, artist have to expand, and if i see the sign correctly its a jazz festival, that cigala and company were probably invited to attend, that being said keep listening my friend

I think I agree with you. It just doesn't mix well. I'm not sure why flamenco artists think they have to try and "mainsteam" their art this way. A few years ago Paco de Lucia was touring with a flautist. I wanted to run up there and escort the guy off stage. He just ruined the duende and it was like oil and water!
