i think i saw a glimpse of one of those higher dimensions while tripping on salvia once. it was like i was floating through a rolodex of all possibilities and there were guardians of space/time laughing at me. but maybe it was just brain damageamageamage, lol.

Brazil displaced Blade Runner as my favorite until 12 Monkeys came out. But since Zemekes did Sagan, Contact has been my favorite. I bet if I was born in the UK, Brazil would still be my favorite. Gilliam is my favorite director.

Is it wrong to criticize others ideas? I don't try to be philosophical, I just don't like to buy something without questioning it.

Yes, Buckaroo Banzai's a fun movie, lots of classic lines. "No matter where you go, there you are" might get a laugh the first time Banzai says it, but there's something profound in there as well. But I have to say my favorite movie from the 80's about parallel universe versions of our own universe resulting from different sequences of chance and choice has to be Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", a masterpiece that takes place "some place in the mid-twentieth century". I've watched it many times! Rob
