GRACIAS, GRACIAS, GRACIAS

Debussey went nuts when he first heard jazz...I'd bet he would have loved to stand by the piano and watch Art...who wouldn't...the guy was a giant amongst giants in his time...I heard that Horowitz said he'd quit playing if Tatum ever took up classics...

The first time I saw Art play on Video years ago, I felt like I didn't wanna play anymore ... and I play guitar!

Weeks, he didn't touch a key for weeks. Tatum as a child listened and copied piano duets and triplets, never knowing that it was two or three people.
