Lol, you're a bit confused there mate. Burgess was talking about BEETHOVEN's Minuet in G -- a different song entirely.

Bach is primarily identified by his organ works, such as Toccata and Fugue. And, considering he dedicated Minuet in G (and all the works in this notebook) to his beloved second wife, I seriously doubt one could say he "wrote this so he could despite it".
