The process occurs like the process of evolution...very slowly over time. The lesser things slowly become extinct just like inferior animal life would. Those that don't adapt will simply be left behind. I'm not saying I agree with that because I think every person is entitled to their own beliefs, but I think that is how the process will go. It's a much more controlled society where everyone is endoctrinated from a young age, much like our schools are becoming. Everyone learns the same things.
