-1 is 16 front :) So it's little more acceleration and less top end.
16front - 47 rear is perfect for the track as the 1st gear of the R1 is way too long and you'll never use 6th gear that way. With -1 on the front i hardly get to use 5th gear even.

again, great vid but you got me all confused? got you going around the same track and the weather always looked the same. deja vu :)

going front sprocket -1 will give you more top end right? haven't heard anyone going down only with only the front sprockets alone. and how much is the speedo affected???
also, vortex has this package 520 conversion sprockets/chain deal 16 front and 47 rear. that take away about 10% top end but alot more acceleration. this combo isn't good for the tracks?

On this trackday the bike was still completly stock except front sprocket -1, prepped shock front + rear, supercorsa pro tyres (i used to wear down my own race tyres on the street, nowadays i hardly ride the street anymore)

do you change tires for the track. and what kind of mods do you have on the bike if any??? |
