All the drums are real.Gated reverb,heavily compressed via the good ol' SSL G series desk,so it's like most 1980s drums,which this is imitating.The sound of an era.
I do see what you mean though,it's kinda deliberately reminiscent of a Linn drum or the standard issue first sample library that came with the MPC 60 back in the day.
