Step 2 - Saiga 7.62x39 Conversion

This step is where we make permanent changes to the receiver. To do this step I used a hand drill and 1/4 inch drill bit and also a punch and hammer. You may need a pair of pliers to pull the trigger axle pins out once the drill is done. It is important not to drill into the receiver so just take your time and go real slow. Most of my information comes from the following sites: http://www.cross-conn.com/Saig... http://home.comcast.net/~navy8... http://forum.saiga-12.com/ Please Note: This is my first at a conversion. I am sure I am getting some of the terminology incorrect and I know for a fact there are better and more efficient ways at doing some of the tasks. I would encourage people to visit the forums at http://forum.saiga-12.com before attempting the conversion based solely on these videos. ** Everything in this conversion is 100% legal. This is NOT going to make the rifle fully automatic. After the conversion is complete it will be 922R compliant. **

Dude, thank you so much for making this video. I was having doubts about converting my saiga 12, especially about doing it myself. I've been reading some tutorials, but none of them convinced me to "man up" to the task the way your video has.

I just got done converting my .308, and a video like this would have been nice to have at the begining. Unfortunately, the instructions at cross-conn weren't quite right for my rifle, but I did get it figured out in the end. Mine didn't have the extra pins for the rear trigger, so I didn't have to plug them, and the stock fit without modification.
