Camelot was the first Broadway musical that I saw. I was so taken with Burton, Andrews and Goulet and the wonder of the music that to this day the lyric " for one brief shining moment " takes me back to that night. JFK listened to this soundtrack every night. What an incredible memory. Thank you so much for posting this. It's magic.

AHA!!! We KNOW that someone, somewhere, (minus the bit from the ed sullivan show) has at least some footage of the original cast of Camelot!!!! I hope it's not collecting dust in a vault somewhere! PUT IT ON DVD, VHS, ANYTHING!!!!!! WHY?????? also, Julie Andrews was, and still IS, the BEST Guinevere EVER! NO ONE ELSE SHOULD EVEN ATEMPT THE ROLE!! (wink wink nudge nudge Vanessa Redgrave)= Thanks for totally butchering the songs in the movie!

It's from her 1989 concert tour, but was shown in 1990 on Great Performances on PBS. I believe PBS still sells the DVD of it. pbs dot org/wnet/gperf/anniversary/anniversary dot html Replace the dot with a period If not, the DVD shows up on eBay.
