I hear they are making this movie again with Nicholas Cage. Should be a watered down shitfest. I hate when they do this to a brilliant movie.

i love how the harvey keitels character is also a religious person and hes not all bad like it seems...this movie really took me places and it is abel ferrara's masterpiece

Aaargh, there's just so many great moments and lines in this film! I love the scene where, after losing and now owing the bookie $60,000, he goes to the club specifically to meet the bookie's intermediary, arrives late, and responds to the intermediary's opening question "You got the money?" with a straight faced "What money?" Brilliant, brilliant line.
