If the the tabla is good it changes the mood of the song. For this song tabla was plyed by Badal Ghosh from Kolkata who is a top professional and specialized in Nazrul songs. You play pretty good too.

I agree with you 100%. I love Nazrul geeti. She is one of the few present day singers who sing them with lot of emotion and depth with correctness of suur & tal. I missed that cd launch but later read about that in the newspapers.

I love every single song she picked for this album and how she treated them slightly differently, still maintaining the Nazrul-ness of the songs. I remember being blown away at the CD launch event.
