I tried to prepare an imitation of this short entertaining "ballet" for a collegues' evening fun. I spend almost two hours in front of the mirror rehearsing and I had to give up. What seemed to me a clever but simple trick is pure genius and impossible to recreate without looking stupid or clumsy. I just told a joke to my collegues which I had to admit was the easy way!

I wouldn't say people might not find him funny now. I just went to a viewing of his film "city lights" and the entire theater was laughing. It was wonderful :)

a scene keeps playing in my head
where the principle tells his students at school that nobody likes kids who play with their food
and over at the side, there's charlie chaplin and table ballet making a million people laugh |
