I totally agree. I play piano and synths since 30 years, and I know that this fusion-rock guy is just behaving like an artiste in the circus (who also trains 20 years for his trick). It's pure show-off, empty, harmonically uninteresting (too many sus-chords with fourths). I am glad that computers have been invented that can be programmed to play faster than any human being. A good musician needs completely different qualities. If you want speed, listen to speed metal cause it has humour.

Another thing, to TheReaper17. Classical music is only one of the styles that has influenced music today. Ever heard of Indian ragas? Or African music. Any place besides Europe for that matter has highly sophisticated music that shows traces today. I love classical, but it ain't everything.

For everybody's info, I've played piano, bass, synth and guitar for many years, don't like rap, and listen to everything from Ravel and Beatles to Aphex Twin, Miles Davis and Velvet Underground. I appreciate any genre as long as I feel it has a quality that expresses something original and poetic. As I said before, this is drivel. And don't talk about not appreciating keyboard chops. This guy obviously has it in spades. I can notice that stuff after playing classical myself.
