*blinks* I wonder, is your misunderstanding deliberate? If perfection does exist somewhere on this planet, I've never seen it. I certainly make no claims of such myself. Shouldn't we all have done with the partisan business for a while, and attempt to restore some sense of beauty and peace to a world long denied? There is not one human who is immune to the darker side of our nature, but I've always hoped that we might all be capable of better, too. If that's wrong in your eyes, so be it. :P

I could keep replying to you for the rest of my life, but I'll probably not. I just don't like people seeing the devil in everyone but themselves. Come on, at some point you have polluted the planet- the planes for example. So, let me get this- liberals don't pollute and conservatives/independents do? I don't like your self-righteousness. That is what I think is bad.

ascarbora: Thanks for the laugh. ^_^ Fun fact here- my vegetarian, bus-riding (as I loathe driving), public pc-using self hasn't taken a "vacation" since Mom and some friends scraped together enough money for a few days at Disney World about twelve years ago. Oh, and I've only been on two planes in my life- if you count the change-over it took to get to Oklahoma from Kentucky when I graduated Job Corps. These "personal attacks" aren't necessary; I was merely curious as to your attitude.

Why don't you try changing your own mind/self? Stop driving in your limousine, or taking your annual vacation in that 747 and then maybe you will be on more solid ground complaining about ecological crises. You liberals always feel everyone else need to change. What about you?

ascabora: That was rather uncalled for, don't you think? It's hardly snobbish to be well-read, or to call on such knowledge when necessary. As for this song, like in any other, we are all meant to take away our own personal interpretations. If that involves politics -and honestly, in our current ecological crisis, it does-, so be it. Bush, while I personally consider him the worst president in history, is only one of many whose minds and hearts we need to change. ^_^
