I think you're asuming too much there. Don't assume I love every single dub on the planet. I don't. Some are horrid and shows the ones in charge were WAY wrong.

do me a favor, listen to American video game in Japanese dub and tell me "does that sound better then original English voice", if you say yes, then you have a problem. I like dubs, I think there are some American video game like Gears of War, and Heavenly Sword that sounds much better in Japanese. I think Cortana in Halo sound much better in Japanese then in English. There are anime that sounds much better in English then in Japanese.

Yes. It's not nice for us that like dubs. WE don't go around shouting "JAPANESE DUB SUCKS" It's always the Eng dub haters. You think you're cool? Get real.

I agree that Goku sounds pretty stupid in the Japanese version but i still like it more than the dub. Besides, in newer anime there are jokes that just can't be told in any other language. Puns for example. And i think that Japanese fits pretty nicely in any anime. I don't care if other people like dubs but i just prefer my anime in Japanese.

oh, I can read I just hate dub haters. I got many reason why subs aren't reliable (fansubs are not reliable). Both dub and sub have drawbacks. But Japanese voice might not fit any of the anime characters sometime, take Goku in DBZ in Japanese. He sound like a girl, not a fully mature man. That's why I like the English dub (or Mexican Spanish dub) version of DBZ (uncut, to be more exact). Goku sounds more like the person I came to imagine.

So does that mean all dubs suck. Even the Mexican spanish dub of Dragonball Z suck (the Mexican spanish dub outdone American and Japanese one), does that mean that the Japanese dubbed version of halo suck also. I think you might want to hear Cortana's voice in Japanese, I think it's better then the English voice (in my opinon, she sound's bitchy and bossy in English voice). Beside, not all dub suck. |
