that's simple dear. Fairy tales and lullabies work to define our morals, social limits, aka what is wrong and right. They often have a historical context fitting, as time passes, these fable change to adapt to modern times. Plus, we can't say the past was really "pretty" to begin with...

I love this song, although I don't understand why the original fairy tales and lullabies are often so grusome. We tell these stories to our children and sing them to our babies as they go off to sleep!
