what cpu cooler?
DaddyJace (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
actually you can set the voltage to 1.7 to test a post. otherwise water cooling would be pointless no?
DaddyJace (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Not true, you can actually set the cpu to 1.7v to see if it posts at a certain clocks. I wouldn't recommend trying to boot into windows at that voltage, but to atleast check the post. Otherwise water cooling would be a waste no?

So what? 1.55V Is the VMAX. This guy has his sitting at 1.61+ ! Suicide Run. I have mine at 1.55V For 3.6GHZ, doing 56C load, which is all good. But this guy is killing his chip.

i run mine at 1.5v 24.7 at 3.4ghz on air cooling and my cpu runs at 19c idle 30c full load. been running at 1.5v for about 9 months now no glitches

TKSOWNAGE, your dumb, the bios will always recognise the chip at its default speed before it tests it ACTUAL speed. Read second bios prompt...
Tksownage (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
