should i get this for ultimate performance on very high setting on crysis?

The best value processor you can get for gaming right now is probably the e8400, for less than $200 you get a 3.0Ghz Core 2 Duo with 6mb cache at 45nm.
If you really want a quad core and know how to overclock the best value is actually probably still the q6600

yes - but only 1 vga - not xrossfire on a
Nforce / SLI - deinstall completely any older
vga driver / utility and reboot once before proceeding
(amd has tested successfully 1 * 4870 x2 on a
nforce )
you may look at a gainward 4870 hd
1024 mb or similar sapphire / diamond
(but NO : asus , gigabyte )

for litle buget and litle overclocking:
intel core 2 quad q9550 (270 euro - 490 euro)
try 8,5*400 Mhz with 800 Mhz ddr3
( jedec /singlesided / cdm 1T / 1,5volt )
or ask someone else about the new Core 7

Sorry for the noob question but could I use an ATI graphics card with my MSI P7N SLI Motherboard?

I miss the other guy, this guy seems to have more technical knowledge but not the energy of his forerunner.
mygaffer (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
YES, totally. Tom's hardware did an article about gaming on the old Athlon's and with any kind of modern card they totally bottleneck your performance.

is this card better then the factory overclocked verson?? |
