the reason native americans are called "indians" is because of Chris Columbus. when he discovered America he believed he was in India, so he called the native americans "Indians" and the name stuck some hundreds of years later.

Technically American Indians aren't Indians at all! They are American Aborigines/ Indigenous Americans. Indians are from India!

She's all over the the word "indian" there so many different kinds of Indians. Is this about middle eastern indians or American Indians (you know the kind that use teepees, and do Rain dances , the kind that are talked about in this song).If thats so whats with the middle eastern beat and everglades come from . I just think that she needs to be more specific with the word Indian.
