It is this simple people. Chomsky called Bilderberg and the CFR "nothing organizations". Bilderberg meets every year amid a complete press blackout. The most powerful people in the world meet there to set the world agenda. Also check out for yourself how many gov. officials are CFR members, especially the history of CIA directors. "Nothing organizations"? And even more outlandish is the fact that Chomsky has never given a thorough in depth critique of the Federal Reserve.

The "left wing" gatekeepers for the CIA can be found in the so-called liberal media, the media that Chomsky critiques and dissects. It's not that Chomsky doesn't believe that conspiracies don't exist; it's that he sees institutional imperatives as much more significant. Blaming everything on a shadow conspiracy takes attention away from the clear ways in which power-centres can be EXPECTED to function, and those power-centres can be reigned in by democratic pressures.
