one word, 'crossover'. You can play any PC game you like, on your mac, and the software is free. Despite this, I rarely use it, you see I have a theory on what seperates mac users from PC users. You need PC games for fun and whacking off, where as mac users have a life once we turn of our computers. I might go to the gym with my mates, or play football (real football, not the American rip-off-of-Rugby football). See what I mean? Games are not everything.

lol, oh I wish it were that simple. You can get viruses from fucking banner ads, to say you only get them from porn shows how much of an amateur you are.

At least Microsoft doesn't try to bash Apple in it's commercials. And Apple is NOT fun. oh duh! I forgot Photoshop. silly me.

i personally have never gotten a virus. in the 3 years working for the school district, i havent seen a virus there either. it helps to not give users any admin rights in that case. the only viruses ive seen were when i discovered my dad had been surfing porn on the family computer.
viruses can easily be advoided if you know what you are doing.

i believe vista was more of a stepping stone to 7 for compatibility issues. the main problem was 3rd partys not making their software/drivers compatible fast enough. now that its cleaned up, polished win7 will roll out with less issues.
win7 has taken up the "ribbon" feature like office2007. it appears in wordpad, paint, and the taskbar.
anyway new features are just a repost of a repost of a repost.

They had 6 years on vista, so my problem is 'why' is it a rewrite? Couldn't they have made something new and better in 6 years? Even without the bloat it would still be a pretty shitty system, just be honest, anyone with any real PC experience agrees that vista is bollocks. As for 7, I've seen some of the screen shots and it looks like they're going to copy the mac (again) with all the 'new' features which Apple already has... for instance, is that a dock at the bottom there?

it's true, they were lazy. Why should six computers break within the space of 3 months though? I am computer literate, I built PCs with my mate Liam who planned to go into the business, and I built my PC prior to the alienware. I have used the Windows system for 10 years and I know all the ins and outs. I know windows better than I know mac, easily. I prefer the mac though. To say you have 'never' got a virus is an obvious load of shit. 90% of windows users get a virus every year.

vista may have been bloated, but it was a rewrite and cant be helped. users dont understand these things. windows 7 though is the next step, highly optimized and no bloat. ive been testing win7 pre-beta for a few weeks and have had no problems... and thats pre-beta!
every tech person knows mac ads are BS. anuhow i was refering to the mean ms marketing, the marketing back when they took marketshare away from apple.

most of us use pcs, but not many people are computer literate. it helps. i rarely crash my laptop. and thats with running a lot of software. i also dont use any protection besides windows defender, and ive never gotten a virus.
your tech staff was lazy. i cover 800+ dells, never more than a couple down at a time.

As for vista, well I know several PC guys who say it's made of bloated code (bring back faster code instead of this lazy shit), and is too unstable. My dad's laptop has 1gb of RAM, he's a writer so he doesn't need loads. XP ran fine for him but now he's gone and ruined his PC cos one of his friends convinced him to put vista on it -_-. He has asked me now to reinstall XP.
As for MS's 'marketting' skills, when was the last time you saw a Microsoft advert that caught your eye like mac ads do? |
