The same reason other people use accents... its just saying it different cuz they do... just like british and spanish (speaking english) its just like that lol

I didn't say all, I said some. And the reason I can say this is because I've actually heard people say it. As far as people from Boston feel free to ask them. I'm not really interested in every mispronunciation out there, just the WrAstling one. It's not like the world Potato or Tomato which people argue about. Wrestling is clearly spelled with an E, not an A. So why say WrAstling? Is there anybody who Can answer this question instead of just dismissing it?

I don't care about wrestling and I was unaware that Southerners pronounced it any different than anybody else in the US, but saying we don't say something 'correctly' is incredibly arrogant. People all over the US speak with accents, and few talk like Webster's Dictionary or Encyclopedia Britannica would say we should. I hear folks in Boston say "Paahk the caah" instead of "Park the car" but they don't get criticized in questions like this! No, of course not.

Alright serious question time: Why is it that some rednecks/southern people pronounce WrEstling as WrAstling despite the obvious fact that the third letter is an E and not an A? Seriously, what is the point to it? It is southern rebellion, as in the know they are wrong but continue anyway just to spite the rest of us? I know due to my use of the terms redneck/southern people that many may dismiss this as a joke question. I assure you I really want to know why they don't say Wrestling correctly
