metallist65, I agree 100%, and I love Rhoads more than Zakk, but I said that he was overrated, not bad. ;)
He just seems to accumulate so much more attention than Zakk from these children :P

So, anyone else notice how Hammet uses many of the same techniques he learned from Satriani? Hence, why Satriani is called the Master and Hammet the student. Another former student of Joe's is Steve Vai, who has been called "The Ultimate Hired Gun"Vai has added so many things to guitar and music, unlike Hammet. Now, I really like Hammet; his work with Metallica is awesome. But Vai is a student who has become a master.

You're forgettin one very important fact. Randy Rhoads introduced techniques that no had used before. His biggest contribution was the use of classical scales in Rock and Heavy Metal. Before Randy (and Ywgwie Malmsteen [who is an arrogant jackass] and Blackmore from Deep Purple), no one really used scales like the Aeolian in guitar music. They'd really jus used the blues scales. And comparin guitarists is wat guitar players do, man. Get used to it!

Zakk is not overrated.
I love both Randy and Zakk, and I think Rhoad's overrated due to the fact that most people only listen to Crazy Train and think he's a better guitarist than Zakk because the little children like the riff more.
All guitarists have different styles, and to compare them... you're no better than derksTV and his mutilation of the English language. :)

kirk is good.... but joe is from a whole different planet hes one of my fave guitarists after jimmy page joe is an amazing gutiarist with lots of feeling and is very technical... JOE WINS

they are bothe good and haves bothe some special thecniques an playing fast does not much too music isnt a cricus but when i listen to joe i think he is the best but kirk is also 1 of the best guitarists in the world Kirk Ass :P

true zakk is overated. randy was wayy better and a way cleaner guitar player. as far as this videos goes i prefer kirk, not only because he's in metallica but i like his style. i just dont like the feel he has live though. but yea kirk |
