Just because you have never heard of crimes being prevented by armed citizens doesnt mean it doesnt happen. I dont have time to look it up right now but if you look or the stats at the U.S. bureau of justice statistics that the number of crimes prevented by armed civilians in a given year was in the neighborhood of 800,000. This is a Government report not propaganda. If you look closely at the evidence on this issue, you will realize that it favors the pro gun side. And Im a liberal libertarian.

I have never heard of someone defending a home-invasion with a fire-arm. Home-invasions are rare enough, but the chance a thief will enter a home with someone still there (and not on vacation) is not so high. Anyways...
