hey Im a senior in highschol im thinking of going into this bc it sounds very exciting! i like business and even though im not good at math I can definately whip out some force and do it. if i want to. one problem is that im a shy person and when i open up i always look nervous, but i try not to, do you think i'll ever make it? im also a girl, how do clients treat women? thanks!

u sound like a communist. your theory is factually possible but simply impractical. if there is an opportunity to make a return above the avg, like your 7 - 10%, then most reasonable people will take it. dont blame the stockbrokers. blame the founders of our capitalist society

I worry that brokerage is not a productive sector, that brokers go for arbitrage and "the quick buck" instead of sound and long term speculation (which of course is needed to acquire physical capital to promote growth!). Good communication with your clients, reliability, making them money, etc, does not affect that argument. It's just sales people talk. I hope you will direct your energy towards finding companies with good ideas that promote longterm sustainable growth and make good products.
