Actually, the full 18x zoom with the ISO at 64 takes awesome pictures. Hardly unusable. However, the ISO of 6400 is just unreal, the noise is unbelievable, even with noise reduction. Obviously it won't beat a DSLR, but for those looking to not spend money on a professional grade camera that you will use for just leisure, the P80 is a much better choice.

the same for 18x zoom :) its simply unreal to build lens good enough to transmit that amount of resolutin in such a zoom range to CCD that smaaaaaaaal :) I love my DLSR

I just bought the P80 and let me tell you its amazing. Good review, wish I would have seen it before I bought the camera- would have saved me some research lol
