dude , DSLR's are made so that u can change the lenses, i suppose its personal preference ,and canon advertises whaaaaaay to much, i prefer nikon aswell :)

Buy a Nikon instead if you are new to DSLR, The Kit lens of the XTi is CRAP (D40 kit lens is way SUPERIOR) plus the built in sensor cleaner is a so-so,...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
