I think it's all about diligence. Meaning, this Hungarian pilot wasn't as good as he should have been. Hind sight is always 20/20 but to miss the HP once under a load. There's not much excuse for that. If you're tryin' to pull pwr and you just get to the top edge of the arc then you set it dwn. That simple. Even w/the diminished ShHP he should have recognized the pwr loss sooner.

That is right. ther corosion residuse in the fuel injector lowered the maximum posible start effekt in one engine from 415 hp 180 hp. Leaving the helicopter with 595 hp insted of the normal 830 hp. All helicopters need maintinance. Acc. to the pilot he realized somthing was wrong when he was at 3 m altitude. but he thought it was to late to land again beacuse there where pepole on the ground under him. (should be the camera crew and others he refer to) |
