I wondered too about the video length. Are they just over riding the limit or are they hosting it on Google Videos and somehow linking it to the YouTube account.

Hopefully, the web developers won't have to suffer from developing different code for different browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE, etc. W3C won't enforce developers to follow their specification, but at least, it is better than nothing but just proprietary APIs.
