thanx for understanding what i was saying, nothing against rancid,rancid is pretty good, i like a couple songs the only album i would buy is and out come the wolves, but i dont hate this band i prefer the classics, exploited, gg allin, crass, dirt, flux of the pink indians, minor threat, black flag, guttermouth, pretty much anything in the 1970's-1980's

Have you ever listened to "True Believers" by the Bouncing Souls? You might dig it. Young upstarts could do a lot worse than getting into punk through Rancid. Seems to me you're spending an awful lot of time worried about scene purity for a new guy.
Listen to what you like.
Support your local scene.
Make friends.
Don't sweat the bullshit.

no im not saying they suck, im saying the are a wanna be band, like, alot of little kids would where a rancid tshirt because, well, rancid is a mainstream band. what i didn't mean rancid was a wanna be band like, rancid is trying to be punk, i meant alot of little kids sterotype punk rock by this band, alot of people think the band rancid is the represenative for punk rock.
