Yes i am native.And i have to say that drugs, alchohol, under age sex, and education IS one of the biggest problems i see goin on where I'm from. When i was there all of it was normal to me and i didnt see a problem with.I used to get in trouble for cursin at the staff who would tell me the truth about the rez, but bein away from it for 3 yrs made me actually see, that damn...there is a huge problem. And im only one out of the many few that wish to change it.

Yea I hear what you're saying. The same can be said for other poor people of ghettos, trailer parks, and other depressed areas of the USA. They seem to get stuck in this same cycle. I think the most effective way to get out of such condition is through an education. The schools there may not be the best, but you have to bust your ass and study extra on your own. Plus, you've got the internet that's filled with tons of educational values if you look for it.

well i live on a reservation and rezes are usually in a place where an eceonomy is hard to stimulate through jobs and the jobs that are there are very low paying. And besides that my people for the most part are broken, they talk to elders and listen to how things used to be and want to live like the old ways but thats impossible so they get lost and and start doing drugs and alchohol. In some ways a reservation is just a prison, things come in but things dont go out.

What's holding back the American Indians from doing what everyone else is doing...ie. get an education, a job, etc? There are poor people everywhere in the USA. There are illegal Hispanics who comes here w/o anything and they work harsh, menial labor jobs for very low wages....send lots of it home and still have some left to live a decent life here. And they don't get welfare nor other Govt' subsidies that the American Indians do.
