he had good tecnique skinny light lets and a bigger torso with good upper body strenth to put power behind his shots specially once he had a man hurt with his size, but i dont think he met the greater bunch of middleweights, a good thing for him of course and off the subject he beat his wife and then eventually killed himself.

u must realize this is the fourteenth round of a tough fight, cuz griffith was a tough dude, and monzon was not undefeated by chance, but i think that evolution creates some great fighters too, id like to see him w the top of the line haglers, hearns, toneys, leonards, etc...

My father was befriended with his Sparring,Ayala,he told daddy -paga y pega bien-he hits strongly and pays generously for it-.He was intelligent to leave boxing on time,otherwise his jetset friends like Alain Delon or lovers like Susie Gimenez would spoil him.

My sport is athletics, but everyone knows Monzon was one of the all time greats. You can only beat the best in your own era! If he had trained using todays methods he would still win today

Its like Ty Cobb. He was supposed to be a great hitter but he'd be average at best today. The same with Rocky Marciano. Monzon does seem like he was in great shape and better conditioned than most back then though.

thsts what i always thot when i saw him fite on tv,yet he was undefeated for like over 10 yrs and like 90 fites!!!
