Puhleeze! I wasn't born yesterday! No one touches the original by Daniel Lanois, and I know music as well as any of you, or better, trust me! Dave Matthews only does tribute. I agree that Lanois has little in the way of top titles compared to Matthews but his stuff is original enough to have people copy him, i.e., Willie Nelson, EmmyLou Harris, etc., etc. The rest of his stuff is quite memorable, as well. You should listen to it.

keep in mind that this is basically a guy (lanois) who went towards more studio production than performing. someone like dave matthews would indeed give a better performance considering he has made his name as a live performer. but to take anything away from what lanois has accomplished, is fuckin silly. because it is ALOT. anyone that doubts that, look him up at AMG.
