Despite the abysmal audio quality, dear God this is the best I have seen of Rostropovich. He is just so untouchable. Bravo Maestro!

Rostropovich was amazing...he'll never die...
His tone is truly magnificent and so BIG! It's rich and full and perfect. He will always be an inspiration to us all. :)

I remember his playing moved the concert master so much that he leaned on his violin and struggled to maintain his composure for the entire lengthy ovation.
