im pretty sure it can
it comes with software for mapping all the knobs and shit and im pretty sure you can assign different values to keys and sich so you could theoretically use one of the octaves as like pads. but youd probably want one of the bigger ones like the 49 or 61

Can an oxygen 8 use the keys as midi samplers? each playing a different sound eg. machine noises?

I have my first live show coming up and I must say Good review. Convinced to try and get one. I'm bidding on one for $100... not bad for a USB keyboard interface. Unless anyone has a better suggestion?
