I thought Cedric sounded fucking awesome

Wasn't horrible. Just a weak mix and a bad day for Cedric.. He definitely has more bad than good days but when he's good... Oh man is he good.

Hmm what do you ment by shit load of noise ? I'm pretty sure that you do not like Be bop , cause i compare them to the jazz bands that sound specific , dirty in a nice way .

man you have to be there.
marcell53 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
im pretty sure they took that crowd of guard.

It depends on the venue's acoustics and the mix. If you are unfamiliar with their live stuff it may sound a bit muddy. Youtube vids:

Their sound has evolved over the years, especially with their different drummers. They sound very tight right now.

okay i've seen tmv twice and they just sound bad live. gie me as many thumbs down as you want. it's just a shitload of noise with too many things going on. their albums aren't bad though

It works. It's ironic that someone suggests removing the frontman who is directly responsible for bringing in a majority of their fans.
Adam080 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
lol i dont think irony is the word you were looking for

The irony is Cedric and Omar are The Mars Volta, and are what really got people into At The Drive-In as well. Without those two, The Mars Volta would just be a group of good musicians with no identity, direction, or stage presence. |
