got a 790 for christmas.. and have used it once in the sea. However i seem to have a problem either with the charger or the battery as it doesn't seem to charge anymore!! the red light on the charger keeps flashing???? any help??

I'd only go for it if you need underwater or shockproof capabilities, and even then you may prefer the newer 1030 model. If you don't need underwater capabilities, there's better choices - see the best buys section at cameralabs . com!

but do u think that the Olympus Stylus 790 is a good camera? is it worth it ? and is there any other camera that u would strongly recomend under $3oo and possibly in bright coulers?

what do u think about the Olympus Stylus 850 sw? and what camera do u think is better the 850 , fugy finpex 720 10.0mp , or the cannon power shot sd 750?

No, that setting just increases the ISO sensitivity to allow faster shutter speeds. But doing so reduces the quality. It's not the same as sensor-shift or optical image stabilisation which can reduce shake without increasing the ISO.

it has a setting on the control wheel with a picture of a shakey hand, it definitely has image stabilizer |
