This can't be used as a webcam, but it can act like one. Just put it on top of the computer and record. If you have to, use something that holds the camera in place so it doesn't fall back.

I bought this unit from Best Buy, and it's my first camcorder. I can honestly say I have been happy with it. The picture quality is great, and has worked flawlessly for me. The zoom is awesome, check out my "lil house" video I took in the UK. That was looking from "The Cloud" overlook down into a valley with the Canon zoom. A great camera !

the canon ZR850 sounds right for u. 35x optical zoom(video) and 1000x digital(pictures) zoom. it's around that price, depends where u buy it. the battery lasts approx 1 hour, 30 mins, its a miniDV, but not too good in ,ow light. i recommend u check it out. u can also go with the zr800 or the zr830, but they don't have all the pins and needles as the zr850, but the zr850 is also, as well as firewire, USB compatible

i got this camera! guys for begginers is really nice ,but is kind of basic consumer camcorder if you want really crisp videos

Okay stop lying to people to get them to buy your stuff!! digital zoom is WORTHLESS!!! its meant to lure in unschooled consumers!! optical is what you need to worry about. 35X though is exceptional..the SD card though? WORTHLESS!! notice how your still camera has a video feature? thats not all that great is it? well same here..camcorders are meant for video, still camera meant for picture..if you like this line from cannon, save some pennies and go with the ZR800!!

This would have been more effective if it showed a zooming demonstration so that people would know how powerful 35x optical zoom really is, and perhaps even demonstrate the stabilizer function at the same time. |
