In this day and age, it is hard to screw up steel.
Modern steel is leaps and bounds ahead of the materials used in the 40's and 50's.

One thing about kimber is they use cheap metal. If i were the LAPD I would go with a Les Baer Thunder Ranch special because it will hold up better and has more features. But Kudos to Kimber for their support for LAPD families.
