you're gonna kill someone with that advice. eat a bunch of fat and see if you're theory holds up. or...you could ask dr. atkins about his experience....oh wait...he's DEAD

Good Video. I was a fat kid up until I discovered low carb. People think low carb means all meat, no fruit, ect...that's a bad assumption. You pretty much get to eat unlimited vegetables (except the starchy kind), lots of fruit, especially berries and citrus fruits, nuts/seeds, ect...I'm always glad to see people tearing up the low-calorie/low-fat diet, it makes no sense to eat brown rice and celery all day.

you are stupid if you believe anything you just said.

Very nice video. The think I love about Taubes work is that he supplies the last misssing piece of this puzzle, but in laying that last piece the whole puzzle FLIPS OVER into a whole new paradigm. What he shows isn't "the opposite of high-carb diets", it's something that's actually a whole third alternative that does NOT fit the mold. This is something new entirely (yet also old, because we knew these things once, then forgot them since the Ancel Keys fiasco.

my point is this guy is advocating a diet that is 80% carbohydrate, too much for humans on the most part.

First commit of yours, that I can agree with. Some percentage of the population, does well on a high carb diet. My observation is that these are the very active people who burn the carbs after consumption.

Read "Good Calories, Bad Calories" you will not be sorry. Gary Taubes does not state that he is right, just that what we all have been doing, is obviously wrong.

You are are moron

Whats your point?

a high fruit diet means a high carb diet...meaning you have to lower your fat, thus the proteins you eat should be lean sources. i do not recommend eating lean proteins because lean proteins lack fat-soluble vitamins needed to assimilate the protein and minerals. consumption of lowfat foods can lead to depletion of vitamin A and D reserves. |
