I think the point is to go into new creative ways of musical expression. It's amazing how he can sound like two different guitarists at once. The purpose was never to "sound the best." That's always a misconception of music. It might be made to help you feel good, but if music is to be a true art form, it has to challenge conventional ideas and turn over stones previously unturned. Who knows what kind of thing Zack can do, now that he's mastered such a fresh way of playing?

Okay, I know so many people are going to take this the wrong way but I'm trying to make a valid remark here. What is the point? I give you credit for your talent at this style of guitar, but lets be honest, it doesn't actually sound as good as playing guitar in the orthodox manner. It is cool that you've spent loads of time getting this technique really aced, but if you want to play music like this (melody and accompaniment) play piano...its a more suitable instrument and sounds better for this.
