"Minimums" is the decision height, it is the height the pilots decide if they are going to land or go around. Each approach has it's own minimums depending on things like the precision of the Ground ILS equipment or terrain.

Also note the glass cockpit....The MD-11 was one of the first to have a glass cockpit, and the only tri-jet to have one.

As Alexander22pt put it...it is the autopilot disengage warning...(so if the autopilot disengages during flight, the crew knows it, so the plane is still controlled). |
