Australia's reputation overseas has taken a battering over the last decade: rushing into the Iraq War without UN backing, refusing to sign up to the Kyoto Protocol to tackle climate change, the mandatory detention of refugees. Robert McClelland, Labor's Foreign Affairs spokesman, wants to engage Australia better internationally to ensure human rights are upheld and national security is strengthened.

Its so funny how all of you are scared of Bush of Howard. Since Sep 11th all terror attacks against the US ended (1993, 1996 TWA800 CLinton cover up, 1998 WTC bombing, the 2nd, 2000 USS Cole) and you think Bush is scary. Well if he is more scary than you being dead or in hospital with major burns and or limbs missing then I have to agree with myself that you Bush haters really don't mind being called disabled, that is mentally.

I see where Kevin Rudd is meeting with George Bush to discuss the Iraq war. Good! I hope Kevin tells Bush the whole venture was a war crime for which one day we will be held accountible. The world geopolitic is changing with China and India now becoming world players.

I guess that is something to look into eh?

George Bush wants to stay in Iraq despite various Generals saying the war in "unwinnable." Howard will do whatever Bush says, that is the scarey thing.

Scrabble, the wonderful, precious thing about Australian democracy is you can PREFERENCE vote. If you want to give Labor the message that they should go further with their international policy, vote for the Greens but preference Labor over Liberal. In our country we can vote with our hearts without sacrificing our pragmatism. Don't waste your opportunity!

Green is good but Labour needs all the votes. If Howard wins again its all over.

Yes, under John Howard was the first time I was ever embarrassed to say I was Australian when travelling overseas. So, under Robert McClelland and Kevin Rudd, will Labor get rid of the silly Pacific Solution and detention of refugees? or just refugee children?
