Wasn't the personal information, incl ISP's, eventually excluded from the action?
BaldEspresso (August 31, 2008 at 5:26 pm)
People, if Viacom tries some B.S. to use this information to incriminate people for clicking videos, just say this: "You tube logs into my account automatically when you open your browser and enter the site, hence when friends and or coworkers use my computer to view YouTube videos it is logged in as a view under my account even though I was not physically in the room/ house/ office."
There's no way they can prove that you were the one physically viewing copyrighted material.
jessikawatkins (August 29, 2008 at 9:01 pm)
Viacom are really taking this too far...
they have every right to ask for more acsess to youtube to TAKE DOWN their material, that I can agree with, so if they saw their shows and wanted the right to take them down, then yes I agree with that
THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!
So very well said ;) Here is a comment to bump up for video! |
