I don't understand why you don't put a guide rail system ot a guide-cam on the single actuarial magnet.
You know, like the crankshaft of a car enging or the cam rod does for lifting the valves?
Wouldn't that work?

It is going to be very difficult to figure out how to get by the gate. A cam on the wheel with a pull magnet on a track will not work, to much friction. I agree that the wheel might have to have more mass. Maybe momentum will be able to push it through.

Set a mechanism up on the V Gate motor and you can have it run itself. You could very well have a nice table piece if you get it running on its own.

You should try connecting 2 of them to the sam rod-set the gates on opposite sides-maby the power provided by the second disc could get the first past the 'gate' and vice-versa

just a thought:
why don't you use 4 engines like this on a single rod, shifted in angle by 90* each... this way, when one of the wheels passes by the static magnet, there will be 3 other wheels that don't, and this should compensate for that gate... I don't have the means to test this, but the principle is the same as in a 4 cilinder engine: while a piston tends to halt, the other 3 pistons push it further... I'd like you to do this and to post a video if I was right ;)

Your a legend man i thought of something somewhat simler using magnets and also a weight to take advantage of gravity but seeing this has just sent my mind in a different direction keep it up.

What if you make the "V" wider? By doing this, would it make one full revolution faster? With a little more speed, you might beable to hop the gate?
