yes you're right, cause america and europe had been always rivals in economy before, and the interest of the USA was being the only super power, doing away with their rivals, like germany for example, a very rich and developed powerful country then, so i think they only took care of their economic interests and divided europe without respect history, ancient borders

The odds of Mexico ever being able to invade the US were nil. Mexico couldn't even stop the US from crossing it's borders to chase Pancho Villa. The re-declaration of unrestricted submarine warfare was the final straw, although I remain convinced that Wilson's desire for a seat at the peace conference was the biggest motivation.

America didnt enter the war for its own interests. The Zimmerman note sent by Germany to Mexico said that if Mexico invaded the us it would be given the southwest united states so it was in reaction to that.
