...as Jacqueline Kennedy said on November 25, 1963, 3 days after her husbands assassination,"Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment that was known as Camelot."..."There'll never be another Camelot again..."

Coincidentally, "Camelot" is known as the period of J.F.K.s reign in the White House from 1961 to 1963..."Camelot" was also a musical that became famous during the early 60s because it was John F. Kennedys favorite musical...

I loved both julie Andrews and Richard Burton in this musical! Since I own the soundtrack, I had always wondered what it looked like on the stage! Richard Burton shined (as he did in all of his other plays and movies! Robert Goulet made a great Lancelot (and had a voice to match!) It would be a real treasure if this musical were digitally remastered and placed on DVD for all to enjoy! I would buy it!

My beloved Mum and Dad, after moving to Ontario from Inveness, Scotland, attended a performance of Camelot at the O'Keefe Centre in Toronto.
They had little money, however they managed to attend a performance,
When I hear it now, it is extremely poignant and I remember a time that gave my parents and my siblings a great deal of joy!
"Don't let it be forgot
That once there was a spot,
For one brief, shining moment
That was known as Camelot."

Camelot IS my AMERICA of the 1950=60's--once there was a fleeding glory of strnegth, honor and pride--a man's whose preacher would ever preach GD American couldn't be a dog catcher==maybe Camelot may again be God's gift to AMERICA.

I agree 100%. I'm fifteen and I love "older" shows, music, movies, actors/actresses (escpecially Julie Andrews), ect. |
