The phrase originates in a poem dating from around the 16th or 17th century. "Begone, dull care! I prithee begone from me; Begone, dull care! Thou and I can never agree. Long while thou hast been tarrying here, And fain thou wouldst me kill; But i' faith, dull care, Thou never shalt have thy will."

Begone Dull Care? Does this have anything to do with the "Cremation of Care" at the Bohemian Grove? If you watch Alex Jones's videos you'll see that they say that they're cremating "Dull Care" at the Bohemian Grove ceremony. Please don't throw rocks at me, I'm just asking a question, I'm not trying to imply anything.

Scored by the late great Oscar Peterson from my home town, Montreal. Both he & McLaren were artistic geniuses, way ahead of their time! Another brilliant McLaren vignette was Love Thy Neighbour from 1952.

Many thanks to my English teacher in Toronto, Mr Adams, who in 1971 introduced me to the amazing films of The National Film Board. This little ditty sparked an interest in Norm MacLaren, Oscar Peterson, and jazz music, and started a life long obsession with the power of simple film animation.

You can get the McLaren boxset for as little as 60 bucks. I saw this as a freshman too in film class and was blown away as well. RIP, Oscar Peterson.
