The Style Council The Paris Match (Tracy Thorn Version) *Be sure to check out the original with Paul Weller singing! (My opinion is that both versions are great) ------------- Black and white images Wandering lives of different people I uploaded this for the song to be enjoyed! And hoped a few images with it might be too Rather than have just one picture throughout the whole song Models: Sasha Pivovarova Boyd Holbrook Snejana Onopka Jeremy Dufour Vincent Lacrocq Lyrics: Empty hours Spent combing the street In daytime showers They've become my beat; As I walk from cafe to bar I wish I knew where you are; Because you've clouded my mind And now Im all out of time Empty skies say try to forget Better advice is to have no regrets; As I tread the boulevard floor Will I see once more; Because you've clouded my mind till then I'm biding my time I'm only sad in a natural way And I enjoy sometimes feeling this way The gift you gave is desire The match that started my fire Empty nights with nothing to do I sit and think, every thought is for you; I get so restless and bored So I go out once more; I hate to feel so confined I feel like I'm wasting my time

A silky smooth voice in a cool mellow song, a brilliant combination.

This song reminds me also of my year abroad in Copenhagen in 1987. I memorized every single word of this song, wanting to be like TT. How amazing voice she has.

This songs reminds me of my year abroad program in Bayswater,London in 1986; its melancholy and beautiful at the same time. It wss the happiest time of my life. Thank you Style Council and TT

Remember that song as a young man. I played the part. It was fun.

fantatic tune..the video is kinda cheesy though...

Perfect match. Paul's sublime original and TT sounding so inconsolable. Both eminently listenable. Pretty sure I prefer both now.

I'm the wife of the account holder posting. I've been looking for this song since I destroyed my import EP years ago. God I love this version. I melt.

A rainy autumn afternoon in Paris...staring out the window...not a lot to do today. It's busy out there but in the musty apartment where my flatmates and I live it's quiet. I finally have the place to myself for a couple of hours. I make a fresh pot of Lavazza, light another cig and turn on bad, dubbed television. I fan through today's Herald Tribune, bought this morning along with 20 Marlboro and a litre of UHT milk. My student days of Paris back in the 80s. Nothing like it...
